Hello! I need help. I have a duck that was attacked by a hawk last night and she has lost the end of her wing. The bone is exposed, but no longer bleeding. I was reading that leaving it like that to heal can lead to death through the bone dying but I don’t know what else to do.

Here’s some pictures I took this morning of her wound, the area around it is pretty warm to the touch. We tried to bandage it yesterday but she tore the bandage off so I was going to apply antibiotic ointment today and try to rebandage it.
She also keeps preening herself around the injured area along with the rest of her body, there was quite a bit of blood on her feathers and still is. Should she not be doing that?
I have given her electrolytes and some food and have her separated in a quiet area. Will she survive an injury like this? What should I do?

It looks like all of the skin, muscles and tendons around the bone are missing if I am seeing that correctly? I am only seeing feathers around it. If so there is no way to close the flesh back up around the bone and it will need to be amputated or it will become necrotic.

Yes, there is quite a bit of damage to her wing. I figured it would have to be amputated if she were to survive, since the bone is completely exposed with no skin to cover it. It looks like it’s exposed for around two inches until her “wrist” bone which is also exposed a bit. I just don’t know how to make sure that there is no necrosis or infection happening
