Please respond as quickly as you are able. One of my young chickens (only a couple months) has become increasingly sluggish and constantly gasps for air every few seconds. I did some research and came to the conclusion that she has gapeworms. I feel terrible, because I only noticed it today and I tried to give her a dose of ivermectin (.1 ml) in a syringe, but I'm almost certain it went down her windpipe instead. I don't know what to do. I'm afraid she will suffocate and she keeps gasping for air and is unable to get up. She will also jerk around in her cage, as if she is seizing. Please help!
