I just unpacked my eggs given to me by a friend. i instructed her to store them pointy side down, but some if them were pointy side up.
i put them in the bator just now, should i wait on turning on the autoturner until morning. i picked them up from her at 9am .
thanks

You should let them rest in a room temperarure place for around 6 hours then put them in the incubator and not turn the first day. That would be my battle plan....

Ok. They have been resting for 15 hours at room temp. Now i put them in the bator. when should i turn on the autoturn???

When i say resting at rt some of them were truned the wrong way. i did not know it until i went to put them in the bator.

This is what I do and I have been having good hatching results;

Sit them all fat side up. Let sit for 6-8 hours.

Put in incubator, on. But don't turn on the turner until the next morning.

Been working good for me!

Hope this helps!

All good information. You are off to a good start. I want to tell you, that storing the eggs the wrong way CAN make a difference, but usually doesn't. I mean, think of what they go through during shipping and some still hatch.

I am turning the autoturner on tonight. They have been in the incubator for 24 hours by then.
