I went out of town about an hour away as I have 2 appointments, one at 9 and the other at 2 plus I'm meeting someone at 3 to get a pair of bantys. We didn't leave any air conditioner on in the house And it's supposed to get 92 degrees with a heat index of 100,my incubator is set perfect at 99.5 , will the hot air in the house cause the temp to rise/problems?

I'm so upset and I can't go back now til 3

Still air,the eggs are a week old and have embryos

I don't think you will encounter much of an issue. Still air incubators should be set for about 101 degrees normally. So if the temperature happens to raise a little bit, it should be OK. The danger zone for embryos is about 104 degrees for anything longer than 30-60 minutes. I hope all goes well!

We don't have any AC in our house, just a swamp cooler when it gets too hot. My incubator has fans, but I still have good, steady temps for the most part. Just check it when you get home, really nothing you can do. Eggs have survived pretty good temp spikes and hatched out just fine, those chicks are lots hardier than we give them credit for!

Thank you all so much! Got home and temp in the house was over 80, incubator was a little over 103,but I got it back to normal and candled them all,all seem fine ! :)
