Urgent! wet and muddy chicks

We recently got 10 chicks and 2 ducklings. We put them in the same small brooding box for a short spell but the ducks have made a mess of it and I went down to check them after work. Standing water and muddy chicks! They are filthy and miserable looking. Obviously I will separate the chicks from the ducklings but how do I clean the chicks and keep them healthy?

Use a warm damp rag or cotton balls to wipe as much mud off as you can but be sure to put them back in a warm dry brooder.
