My chicks hatched early. How long can I keep them in incubator?? I thought I read 2-3 days they feed off their embryo. I'm out of town and may have to get someone over .

You should leave them at least 24 hours. They need to be dry. I have read 2 to 3 days too, but I can never keep my hands off of them for that long!! It takes a couple of days to ship them from the hatcheries and most of them are okay.

Good luck. Post some pictures when you get home! I have some due this week and I am getting excited!!

This is probably the best thing that could happen. With you gone the bator will not be opened, this gives the chicks the best chance for life. The chicks will be fine for 3 days. When you get home you will have a bator full of fuzzy butts looking for a drink and some food.
