I thought I was using exterior paint in the coop but got almost all done and saw it's interior.
It's semi-gloss, a good brand, and it's on the wall behind the poop board. Is it okay or
should I really go over it with an exterior high gloss paint?

I'm told that the main difference in the performance of int/ext paints is in UV (direct sunlight) and rain resistance. My coop has neither UV or rain......

Nah. It'll be fine

It will be fine. I used interior paint on one wall of my interior (the brown wall - it was leftover from a house project). It doesn't hold up quite as well when tough poo needs scrubbing, but not bad enough to justify painting over it FOR SURE. Exterior paint holds up better to UV and temperature fluxuations. Believe me, we have BIG temp fluxuations here in MN, and it has been just fine.

You'll be so glad you painted when it comes time to clean up!

:(ooops! I never painted the inside of the coop. I thought that the chickens might--um I don't know maybe peck at the walls and chip paint then ingest it (?) I guess I'm wrong. I will have to clean it like new I suppose and paint. Paint is really important? are varnish products OK to use?
