My humidity is sticking in the 48-50% range.
It's been suggested to me to put a washcloth in for extra humidity.
I think this is a great idea, except I use fabric softner. Does anyone know if this would be harmful?
When I smell my cloths (dry) I can smell lavender vanilla.....

Sounds silly, but I would die if I killed them with something so silly.

just was a small load with hot water to get rid of the smell although i wouldnt think it would hurt them
I put 2 small hand towels in mine and it raised it to a good humidity

A paper towel or two works fine, too

Good luck, have fun,

I agree, just wash a few to have on hand in hot water with no fabric softener or detergent. I change mine out every day, so hopefully I won't have a bacteria issue.

Fabric softeners are hard to remove from clothing. It would take many washings. You could try using a new sponge or a new washcloth.
