I make my own dog food with chicken, rice and carrots. No salt or any spices. If I add extra water I have a nice clear broth. In this heat when they don't seem to drink enough I soak their food in equal part broth and feed. They love it but is this okay?

I'd keep it simple and just add water from the tap, but your homemade broth certainly isn't going to hurt them! Just be sure to remove any wet food daily and try to keep it out of the sun. Commercial chicken feed can mold fast.

When I cook chicken in the Instant Pot, I save the broth. I will then use some of it, along with water, to make the chicken's mash. I do not use just the broth, as I don't want it to rich or fatty.
