I have seen in other posts where people are using coffee chaff in their coops. I asked a friend who roasts coffee beans and she said I was welcome to pick some up, but she said it was almost pure nitrogen. Is that a potential problem? Want to keep my babies healthy

Thanks for any input.

I can't answer your specific question; but I can tell you we've used nothing but coffee chaff in our coop for several months now and our girls are fine and they lay great tasting eggs.
