I know this topic has been discussed many times but in the archives I can find no mention of anyones experience using an egg crate in a Brinsea 20. I am considering setting 18 eggs in a well trimmed bottom half of a carton. I would leave them in the crate straight through from day 1 to hatch with appropriate weed outs after candling. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I did and it worked fine. I'm setting some today and already have them in the egg carton cups. The only thing I would say to do is use the divider racks to hold them in place. Really needed it when hatching. Besides that it worked great! Good luck.

I did it and it worked well. I just got some plastic egg cartons from ebay so I can make it a permanent and washable part of my Brinsea 20. I can get 24 eggs in there in the plastic carton.
