I am killing 2 birds with 1 stone (no pun intended). I am in the process of cleaning my chicken coop and putting it on my vegetable garden and flower beds.I am spreading it fairly thin and then raking it into the soil.
They are calling for a wintery mix Sun and I figure that will do good. It will have enough time to cool down before I get into my main planting. I buy my shavings from TSC and wouldn't you know they are out of it.I figured this time of year with people getting new peeps and spring cleaning their coops they would have plenty. Wrong! I'll have to get it hopefully next Mon. That's when they usually get their shipments. It'll take me 2 days to clean the coop but hopefully when I'm done I won't have to worry about it for awhile.
Anyone trained their dog to stay away from chickens like this?
