USPS Carrier PIckup

Hi there!

I have a box of birds that meets all USPS's requirements for shipment, bio secure box, apples inside, weighs 6 lbs, yada yada yada.

Anyway, I'd have to drive it quite a ways to get it to the main Express hub around here, but USPS offers free carrier pickup for express mail. Would it be okay or prudent to schedule one for the day it needs to go out? And would they even take it?

I don't believe they will. The box with the bird has to be weighed. "LIVES" are treated differently at my PO.
