Usps Shipping Temps For Adult Poultry

I wouldn't be at all concerned about cold temps for adults.(chicks are a different matter) After all they're in a box. Any of my birds survive in unheated buildings and outside all winter. I would think a box with bedding would be much warmer.

Personally, I wouldn't consider shipping above 70 degrees. If the truck or whatever is in the sun 70 becomes 90, 80 becomes 100 and without air flow death ensues.

Yup, I know about the warmer temps but was curious about the colder temps. Didn't know if they had a set temp for shipping or not..
Thanks
