Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any interest in Welsummer/Delaware cross eggs? I have a Welsummer roo with a Delaware hen and she is laying 1 egg a day, pretty regularly.
I've been checking fertility for the last 5 weeks and they all seem to be fertile - just checked again today too. It's not much, but I could send 3+whatever is laid (she rarely misses a day, but you never know)...
Since it's such a small amount, the Eggs will be free, pick up only .....you have nothing to lose and I get to see if they hatch okay.

I haven't tried to hatch any yet because I'm still saving for my 'bator.

Post why you would like them and I'll have my sweet husband pick the winner by Thursday. 8/20, 5pm Eastern time. I won't send them out until Saturday, since Friday's payday.

I'll try to post pictures tomorrow so you can see what they look like

ETA: I'm sooo sorry but I'm going to have to limit this to pick up only. I just realized that I need an NPIP certificate to ship eggs outside of VA. This is my first time and I feel incredibly stupid!!!

I'll apply for my certificate and when I get it, I'll re-post more freebies. Until then, this is pick up only, or I can meet you somewhere within a reasonable distance. I'm in Powhatan, VA - about 40 minutes outside of Richmond.

Please let me know if you're in VA...

Thanks!

I would love to have them, because I like Designer chickens like yours. I hatched some under my broody hen this year and I only hatched one girl but 4 cockerels. I cannot keep the boys and tough economic times make it impossible for me to buy any eggs, so to win your eggs would be a blessing. But even if somebody else will win those, Thank You for such a kind offer.
Our family would certainly appreciate it and keep you posted on fertility, hatch and growing rate with lots of photos.

I would like tho have them because i am new to chickens and i would love to have all kinds of breeds to my flock, also because i am a cameraholic and would send you pictures and update you on everything!! i hope you consider this and please note that these eggs once they hatch will not leave our farm reguardless of gender they will stay here and free range their little hearts out!!! Thanks for your time!

oh wow! i could really use them, we had a 6 hour power outage on the first week of incubating, lost all but 6 eggs and im worried that they wont hatch. this is my first time incubating and i was really excited! im really bummed that knowing the power outage killed almost all of my eggs.

Oh wow !!! WE would absolutely LOVE to have them. This would be an excellent experiemnt and learning experience for my four kids. We bought an incubator and have yet to use it so this would be perfect!!!!! We have a couple of crosses and the kids love different varieties and breeds.
Thanks so much for the opportunity!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh phooey!!! WE are in Texas but if you get your certificate we would be interested in paying the shipping for the free eggs !!!!!! Let us know when you get it.

I would not make you pay shipping. I feel so badly about this. I'll try to remember everyone's name and PM you when I get it. Thanks!

Oh no, I was so egg-cited. However, I already PMed you, I will check into this. Last year I received two hatching eggs shipments from VA without a problem. Maybe the law has changed recently, but lets not give up the hope yet. So far, I was told that in most cases the NPIP certificate is only required for live poultry regardless of age, but lets research it properly, because I do not want you to get in trouble for all your kindness.
