Variety changing chicken???

Speckles started out looking like a Golden Campine as a chick, then feathered out into a Silver Campine.
What happened? Resesive genes? Cross breeding? Or just an odd ball chick?
I have a pick of her at 12 weeks, but none of her as a chick.

I've found that Golden and Silver Campine chicks are almost identical as chicks.
