How old do my chicks need to be before I can start adding veggies and fruits to their diet or as a treat?

It's really a matter of opinion. I gave mine, which I bought yesterday, a little scrambled egg today. Some people say to wait a couple of weeks.

The thing to be careful about is, it is usually recommended not to let treats exceed 10% of what they eat in a day -- or, no more than what they will eat in 10 or 15 minutes. And they need a little fine grit or sand to help them grind anything with texture, which would be most veggies.
