I believe one of my ladies has vent gleet? She has a messy behind and has lost feathers on her back. Is there a trick to help her? Also, where she lost her feathers, another bird, not a rooster, constantly pecks at her. Help, she is our favorite and friendliest girl we have. She thinks she is a lap dog. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

hello @Mecantfinkof1 - welcome to BYC :frow

If she has got vent gleet, you may find this discussion helpful https://www.fresheggsdaily.blog/2013/09/vent-gleet-symptoms-causes-and-natural.html

As for the bare patch, you can get things called hen saddles to help with bare patches caused by roos, but it sounds like that wouldn't work in your situation. I would put the bird that pecks her in solitary for a day or two. While she's in solitary, you might offer the pecker some extra protein, as that might be driving her behaviour; and something to peck at, or forage, as boredom is another motivator.

Good luck; let us know how it goes.
