Hey there,
I found one of my hens lethargic in a nesting box an hour ago. There was blood everywhere and her entire bum was bloody. I thought it may be prolapsed so I soaked her in some epsom salt water and tried to clean the area up. There is a lot of blood/insides still there. I cannot tell if this is a prolapse or if she has some sort of poop stuck? The bulge in the picture is black and almost seems detached from the rest of her. Almost as if it's inside her vent, but I can't get it out so I'm thinking that it is her vent. I believe that my other chickens have pecked at her and made this a lot worse. She won't eat or drink
She's passing urates/wet poop. As well as dripping blood. I am very worried about this situation. What should I do next?
