Vent sexing is difficult to learn, and if not done right you can actually injure or kill a duckling. Its best to learn hands on from someone else so they can show you exactly how to do it so that no1 : you do it accurately, and no2 : so you dont injure the ducklings.

Quacking is right. I personally don't do it at all. The ducks keep their dignity, and I know once they are 7 weeks old anyway.
