Hi all, Im not getting my cheeps until next month (my coop and run will be finnished by then) but I have a question about worming please.
1, Am I right in saying that food grade DE dusted around the coop, in their feathers and added to there feed will discourage parasites/worms? I have read that VermX, used three times a month (three consecutive days) will also keep the birds parasite/worm free, both without haveing to waste the eggs during worming.
2, Do I use both products, if Im to only use one, which would you recommend.
Im getting three pullets who will be housed in a coop with a run, too many flying and four legged preditors to let them free range. and I live on the west coast of Florida. Thanks sooo much, Ive looked for the answer here, but dont seem to be able to find a definate answer.
3, With the Vermx they have to be so many weeks old to start useing it, when would I start with the DE?
4, Should I use these measures as a preventative or cure?
