So, I was fully convinced I had all hens. I’ve even posted this one before and been told pullet but all the sudden my she is starting to look like a he and started doing three crow like sounds every morning. The weird thing is this bird also started squatting lately though so we were sure it was a hen but now with the new noises I’m thinking roo. Although I’ve heard hens can crow it doesn’t seem to be this early. He/she is 16 weeks old. Lavender Americauna is the breed we were told she is.

She could totally just be taking up the rooster role since you don't have one.
Usually if a female does that, it's going to be a hen rather than a pullet and most likely an older hen at that. 99 times out of a hundred if a young bird like that is crowing it's going to be a cockerel

Aside from the crowing, he has male specific feathering starting to come in and the uneven dark patches on him also suggests he's most likely male

Thank you! Going to have to break the bad news to my husband this is his favorite one and we can’t have roosters in my city 😞

For future reference, look closely at his feathers around his neck (hackle) and his saddle. They are pointy and shiny. This is male-specific. Your females will have rounded feathering in those areas.
What’s crazy to me is those didn’t pop up until two weeks ago, same with the discoloration. I feel tricked 😂
