Very Ill turkey

sounds about right. dont inject him though. just shoot it down his throat. you run the risk of muscle damage if you inject into muscle.

I wouldn't feel comfortable injecting him, he already feels bad enough.
I mixed the 0.5 mL medicine with around 45 mL of water and fed it through my tube into his crop.
I'm really hoping this works, I'm worried for my guy

He's still mucous-y but breathing easier.
I'll feed him in about an hour and see how he's doing then too.

This reminded me a little of where I was a couple weeks ago!! So I just wanted to say that the people on here gave me the right advice to get my bird all better and I am pretty new to turkeys! At the time, I had her on Duramycin too but thanks to everyone on here, I took her off and started her on Tylan. After 1/2 cc twice a day (squirted down her throat with an oral syringe) for ten days: Full recovery!! I had been so worried.
I was lucky that her appetite was still pretty good. I bet the Tylan will work for your bird too though and hope that you are able to keep him warm and get his appetite back. Nice there are so many other people who go through so much trouble for these sweet birds!! Good luck and I hope he will have a full recovery too!

Yeah I'm being sure to keep him nice and warm.
He's in his own separate enclosure (4'x4') with shavings and a heat lamp.
Access to food and water 24/7 though he doesn't have an appetite (hence why I have to tube feed him twice a day

At this point he isn't drinking or eating on his own.
I'd be worried with shooting it directly in his mouth, what if he inhales it into his lungs?

Though he is definitely getting some strength back he's still very weak (too weak to stand) but he bit my finger today during feeding and is resisting more so I want to take that as a good sign.

I was a little worried about my girl choking too... when I went to squirt it down her throat. Surprisingly, however, it went perfectly and she never ever choked or even close. It's like, as soon as it hit her mouth/throat, she sort of drank it. The one thing I did learn, is that it's easy to shoot it out the other side of their beaks so I just aimed straight-on and learned it was better to wait for that "clear shot" than to rush it and risk missing. After the first couple times, it was so easy that I never missed. Originally, she was so weak, I could sit her in my lap without a struggle. She never bit or pecked me, but when she started struggling and pushing up with her legs, I knew she was getting better!

He is breathing normally and doesn't have anymore phlegm but is still is too weak to stand.
He doesn't have any interest in food still but if I put some food in his beak he'll swallow.
I'm worried that I'm not getting enough food into him and he's starving.
