I found a very small white-cream egg 2 days ago. I thought maybe I had just missed a silkie egg from the prior day. I didn't consider the fact that it might be a little pullet egg!

However yesterday I found a large white-cream colored egg! There are only two pullets left that haven't started laying yet from the POL aged group. One is an Easter Egger and the other is a splash Cochin. (both are hatchery)... Any guesses on which laid it?? (I assumed Cochins laid a light brown egg, and not an almost white egg... Although the cochin definitely appears more mature and egg-squatty)

Thanks!

EEs can lay pretty much any color egg. My first one laid a very light cream-colored egg (that's why I had to get more of them... to get a green/blue one!).

right, i knew EEs could, it just didn't seem likely that it was her... (she's not egg squatty yet) and that cochin has looked ready to lay for a few weeks now... just wasn't sure if they laid cream eggs...

hopefully i'll get a blue or green colored egg from her! my first ee laid a light brown egg, and that's why i got the second one too! haha
