Hello. Everyone I got rid of my male duck (because he was attacking the chickens) my one female duck has quacked way more than usual mainly when we open the back door she does it non stop. She now lives with the two bantams and one hybrid chicken who get along fine. What should I do?

It may be that she's calling to find the missing duck. Yes, they do miss flockmates for a few days, if something happens to one. Something else you might try, is treats on schedule. Pick a time, set an alarm, and only treat at that time, every day. Don't overdo on the treats. It's not instant, but in a couple weeks, they should know the schedule, and only begin quacking loudly to remind you that it's treat time.

Thank you I will give it ago.

I also live in a neighborhood and my ducks are loud and obnoxious!! I love them but I’m sure my neighbors don’t. I have two lady Cayugas and they are the loudest pair of ducks I’ve had so far. They are the winners though because I always throw food at them to quiet them down. I’m well trained.
