Hello all! I have decided to raise chickens, as pets, and for eggs. The reason why I have decided to do this is becuase one: I just started culinary school and I have learned that it is very important to know where your food comes from. Two: Fresher is better, and three: It is economical. I am a mother of three growing boys and I can use all the money that I can save.
Before I start even thinking about doing this, I need to do a lot more research! I am not the type of person that just jumps into things, I like to plan and make sure tha I am making the right decision. I have to admit, I feel very over whelmed on this website. But at the same time I am so freakin excited! :)

Welcome. I too am very new to this. I have leared a lot from this site and the people are so nice and helpful to those of us who don't know much. I did a lot of research and keep returning to this site because they have everything. I am anxiously awaiting my babies who will be "pets who produce eggs"
