Sorry for your loss. Reproductive disorders (salpingitis or egg yolk peritonitis) and cancer are very common in hens. I do home necropsies on hens I lose to learn more about what was happening. Take pictures of her organs if do one, and a state vet lab could do a more thorough one, if you keep the body cold, not frozen.
