My new Tom is very sick just happens over night he’s lethargic looks almost dead very underweight he was fine yesterday but this morning we found him laid on the ground when we went to check him out he barley opened his eyes and he was ice cold so we brought him in and I’m warming him up which does seem to be working but have no idea what could be wrong with him any tips would be extremely helpful this is our first time having a sick turkey I’ve had chickens my entire life and have dealt with a wide variety of issues just not sure what’s wrong with him

Is he just sleeping? I think getting some food or water in him as soon as possible would be good. If he doesnt want to eat, try moistening the food.

I’ve been giving him water with vetrx in it and he’s perking up now that he’s getting want I had a chicken do this she froze during the night because her flock mates kicked her out and she survived so I’m hoping it’ll be the same with him

Can you get him to a vet this morning? If not, he will probably die. :(
I’ve been in contact with a vet friend I have who works closely with poultry but not to sure of what is wrong and if he is on the dying side I don’t won’t to waste a ton of money so we are getting water and meds into him while warming him up and he seems to be reacting positively

Do you have access to any nutridrench or electrolytes you could get down him? If he seems to be perking up a little from just rehydrating getting some beneficial vitamins and electrolytes into him might help as well until he gets his appetite back, if he lives that long.
