I have a dark brahma chick who is feathering out extremely slow compaired to my other 15 chicks. They all will be 6 wks old on Fri. All but the little Brahma are completely feathered out. The brahma only has chick fuzz except for its wing feathers and a few pin feathers making their way out on it's neck. Feather wise he is only at where the other chicks were at maybe 2 wks of age. I plan to move them out of the brooder box and into the coop this weekend. My question Is should I hold off putting the brahma chick out too? I live in Mich. Thumb area and our nomal night time temps can go down into the 40s. Would he be ok if I put my brisna brooder out into the coop too?

I would probably hold off a bit. I live near the flint area btw :) the chick probably has a slow feathering gene, one of my BSLs feathered extremely slow and at 7 weeks had half fluff/half feathers. I held off putting her outside until she was 90% feathered.
