One of my 3 years old Golden Comets laid a fairy egg after winter molt. Unfortunately it was thin shelled and broke in nest. She's back up to XL and Jumbo size.
I got a couple of fairy eggs from my 7 months old Barred Rocks when they started to lay around 4 months. Most froze and cracked. But one survived.
. It weighed 7 grams. I still have it. The contents are evaporating. Last time I weighed it. It was 2 grams. GC
