Vet to Euth Chicken - NOVA/SoMD

Sadly, my little hobble cripple chicken does not seem to be getting any better, and I'm feeling quite bad for it. I'm also squeamish as heck and cannot manage to off it myself. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced vet in Northern Virginia or Southern Maryland that might be able to take care of this for me?

My regular vet Does Not Wish to euthanize a chicken.

I was told county animal shelters here would do it for a small fee of $10. Maybe you can call around and find one to do it for you in your area.

I'm very sorry about your chicken.

You could try looking for an avian vet in your area. They should be able to do it with no problem. You could look in the yellow pages or google it. Otherwise, you could just contact all the vets around you. If they can't help you, ask them for suggestions of who can. It's too bad your own vet couldn't refer you to another vet that handles birds.
