I have a Rhode Island Red whos been showing signs of gasping for air and shaking head a lot. I’m worried she has gapeworms or parasites in her throat. The last 2 days shes been kind of yelling as if something bothering her.

Can I give her 1-2 drops administered through a dropper directly in her mouth? Not down her throat but onto her tongue etc? I did that and the immediately made her drink water. So is it safe to use VetRx directly into their mouth?

I did apply VetRx last week under their wings and on nostrils with a cotton swab. Please let me know if it’s safe and ok to apply directly in mouth?

You can just put it in water and it will float and get on their nares (nostrils) and they will ingest it that way. Its kind of like vaporub fpr chickens and isn't a cure-its more like something that helps clear their sinuses but it sounds like your hen needs actual medicine.
