VetRX When to use

I've been researching VetRX, I've never used it personally. I see good and bad reviews, as with everything. However, our weather has been extremely wet. I am really concerned about my Silkies getting a cold. Their coop is dry and gives them protection from the rain. Of course they still sneak out into the run, in the pouring rain. So my question is can I give them VetRX as a preventative to a possible upper respiratory issue ? I am a worrier and want to fix the potential issues before it happens.

VetRx is not going to keep your chickens from getting a cold.
Chickens don't get colds, they get respiratory illnesses/diseases.

Fresh nutritionally balanced feed, fresh water, sunshine/shade, dry coop with plenty of ventilation, keeping parasites under control and their space relatively clean is what's needed to help keep them pretty healthy.

VetRX doesn't cure or prevent anything. It's like Vicks vaporub. It can help improve breathing a little. That's all.
Chickens also don't catch colds. They can get viral and bacterial respiratory infections if the exposed to infectious agents.
Chickens getting wet isn't going to harm them. If they get cold, they'll come in.
I've had many members of my flock sauntering around their pen in a steady rain with air temps in the high 30s. They went to roost looking like drowned rats and came off the roosts in the morning all clean and fluffy.

I apologize, I guess I should be more technical with my terms whenever I post on this website. I am sorry using a simple term was mistaken for ignorance. I am aware that chickens don't get the common cold. I know they typically get upper respiratory infections...etc...I was simply seeking advice about VetRX as I've seen on this exact website, chicken owners using it almost as a preventative for upper respiratory symptoms. There is no reason to feel sad, my chickens are perfectly happy and well cared for. I will have to look for a site where some are not so sensitive to curiosity.
