Victimized by tractor supply Hen vs Roo and a ?

We did that once and he introduced chicken lice into my flock which was previously disease/pest-free. So, while I'm very happy with him now that he's integrated and we treated our entire flock and coop area, and he's protected our girls quite well, I will opt to avoid bringing in any poultry that is NOT day-old. It could have been worse than just a case of lice. It could have been Mareks or some other awful disease.
Well, yes, but that's why you quarantine for two weeks first. Then you can watch for diseases or parasites. But whatever works best for you! 😀

I don't have a lot of land. I don't have multiple pens set up (yet). It was impossible for us to quarantine. He was a local rooster from just a couple of miles away. We will always have Elector PSP on hand now.
Totally get it. We were very unprepared the first time we adopted... fortunately, everything turned out fine.

She’s been a completely light grey chick from day one. Which has been the hardest thing to find. Most of the other chicks I’ve seen all have yellow or start out kind of black.
TSCO had runs of sapphire splash this year. I thought with the black spots ours were Cali whites, but then the splash came in. Yours are a little older than ours, but here's a photo of her body a few weeks ago (our hampbar likes the camera)

The same hen is #4 in the photo below (ironically our lavender orpington is next to her #3)

And this one below is her right before the splash really started to turn grey.

For reference, these little grey birds below are sapphire gems

You can see the darker coloring on the one on the far right below....

I have had all sorts of mystery chickens this year and the people here have been immensely helpful. Good luck!

I really think you may have an EE or what they sell as Amerucana (sorry can’t spell) I have one from their that looks quite similar but he has a muff/beard but very beautiful birds! I felt so sorry for the final six that my local tractor supply had I had to bring them home and one died from rot guy almost within a month, they started out quite flighty but I ended up with mostly hens and a roo (I think as they are still young) I was just wanting to play around with mixing phoenix/Sumatra into Easter eggers that may go broody….. Liz maybe long tailed Easter eggers would be cool here’s a pic of the two lavender chicks I got from them….
