*Video* Need suggestions with a new build out.

Hey BYC!

I need some suggestions and want you guys' opinions on how my chicken operation looks.
I'm getting 15x jumbo Cornish cross, 10x Barred Rocks, and 2 little poults. So I have just re-thought the way I'm doing things now.

Currently I have a 4x8x5 coop that houses my flock right now. Im not really satisfied. I want a bigger coop I can walk into to clean out and that can fit another 15 or so birds.

Here is my coop before... and after .......it was 5x6 before and now its 10x6




we took the egg box off, added another 5 feet on, put the window from the back of the coop onto the side so it now has sun morning and evening. Also put an internal nesting box but still can retrieve from the outside as the other way was just to cold for my girls laying eggs. the pen was also redone and several feet added on all sides.

So basically you just scooted the new half up to the old half? Did you take the whole egg box wall off? Or just the egg box? So the old window came out too? And you put a new one in? I really like that idea...

No, we actually built on to the old coop there was a window on the other side in the pen that did not get sun, so we took that out covered the window hole and insulated there and then covered it with siding. put that window round the front. the wall with the egg box and window was taken off,,, ( we used the siding to fill in the window hole in the back and all the boards. added on a new wall, well walls actually. put the window back in the side wall. this coop has 3 windows on it.
