Video of Chicken Gaping

Correct.

I just looked at her ears. They look clear but the tiny feathers around one of them were kind of stuck together. Would she gape if she had an ear infection?

She gives me a hard time. She doesn't want to stay still. What are your thoughts on "hypnotizing"? I've never done it because it seems cruel, but if it's harmless, it might help me inspect her better.

Sorry for the late response. I was able to look into her ears good. They are both clear. The only thing I can think of is gapeworm. Maybe I should deworm her again?

She's been doing this for months right? Since she was little?

You've already dewormed with Safeguard (0.23ml per pound of weight X 5 days), her crop is emptying overnight, her ears are clear, there's no obstruction/lesions or canker inside the beak, she's eating/drinking/active...

I think I would monitor her for a while and see if she stays the way she is or if the behavior worsens. I'm still not sure what's going on with her, but if it were Gapeworm, then she would have declined, be coughing, not eating/drinking, etc.

It's very odd. She acts perfectly healthy. Her poop is sometimes a little watery. I will keep an eye on her.

Thank you for all of your advice!
