All I heard was a bunch of girls doing that crazy frog crocking noise they like to do so much. How old are they? I think you have a bunch of girls. They look big enough to where if you had a roo, he'd be crowing before now.

Sounds like girls getting near laying age to me. Didn't see a single roo in that bunch there and if you had one, he'd be doing big crows by now I'd think.

24~19.5 week old EE's. I don't have a roo to compare with...so I keep hoping maybe ONE will end up a roo! Amazing that MM actually sexed them right...I watched a video from Dirty Jobs and saw how they were sexing them! EEWWWUCK!
I'm going to have a ton of eggs....going to have to buy another FRIG!

Your chickens are so good with your daughter! Mine run from me, but love my daughter (probably because she's 'their size' - 2 yrs).

This dd is #3 girl...chicken whisperer. They let her pick them up all the time...when my older dd's try to pick one up the chickens squawk like crazy! My 3 year old is a true chicken whisperer...I swear. They are so kind to her and run from us!
She's starting preschool next week...going to cry like a baby I am!

My hens make the same noises, it's just hen chit chat. I didn't hear any crowing. That little girl was the cutest thing ever! "A chicken!" What a doll.
