I've bred two of my rabbits , the doe has one brown eye and one half blue half brown eye and has imperfect golden dutch markings. Her mother was a BEW lionhead and her father was half black lionhead and half blanc de hotot standard. I bred her to my BEW mini lop ( i have no idea of his parentage as I bought him at auction) what are the likely outcomes of this ? Any chance of VM?

If the doe is VM, there's a good chance any of her offspring would be VM no matter what she was bred to. If your buck is BEW, then all of his offspring are guarenteed to inherit at least one copy of the Vienna gene. Some of the babies from this cross should be BEW's like their sire, of course. The remainder will most likely be VM, though there is always the possibility of an unmarked VC.

thank you so much ! I'm so excited, I've been trying to breed black rabbits/golden rabbits with blue eyes for 7+ years now, the doe was the result of an accidental mating and I was over the moon to see her blue eye !
