Vision problem? Looking at the ground!

I have a brooder full of 9 chicks currently but one of my Dominiques seems to be having a problem. She is about 2 1/2 weeks old and we just noticed that she walks around looking at the ground all the time. She eats and drinks, but does not look up. She can move her neck but doesn't very often. Her beak is pointed down against her breast. I'm not sure how long this has been going on. My husband just pointed it out tonight but said that he thought he noticed it before but it didn't really register. Could she have limited vision or is this a symptom of something else? Or should I just not worry because she still eats and drinks? Thanks for you help.

it could be due to so many things...often vitamins will help (POLYVISOL Enfamil three drops a day for a week then taper off the next) ... also vit E >if you can get WHEATGERMOIL and mix that through your feed it will also be beneficial.

Thanks for the help, I am getting so confused though. I have been reading up about crooked neck and I can't figure out all what vitamins exactly I should be giving her. Do I need to worry about Vitamin B1 or not, and if it is not in Polyvisol how do I get it? Or should I get a run of the mill bird vitamin from a pet store? Sorry these are my first chicks ever and I don't want to loose one through my error. And do I keep her on the same feed with everybody else or should I be trying a different feed? And what is this about scrambled eggs? Sorry for all the extra questions.

many things can cause this and the Polyvisol ENFAMIL ahs the B1 which is often assoc with this symptom... many vitamins are interdependent on one another (and other nutritional elements of the diet)... If you want to cover all your bases (as far as nutritional aspects > this is assuming no bacterial or viral complications) then give a complete nutritional/vitamin supplement such as AviaCharge 2000 which is especially formulated for Poultry (you can order it online from McMurry or Strombergs) this is formulated to be given as a daily supplement and so you need not worry about any excess ... give this in addition to the advice I gave earlier... (it will provide some of the micronutrients that simple vitamin supplements may or may not provide in the correct amount.)
