vitamin e dosage?

hello,can someone tell me the correct dosage of vitamin e i should give an 8 mos. old serama hen?

I used vitamin E in emergency measures on a broody hen who began going downhill very quickly at about Day 20. Her head was twitching and turning upward, she couldnt get her legs under her, stopped eating and drinking (no eggs under her, first timer). Wes in TX suggested taking one vitamin E gel, 400 IU, and squeezing it into her mouth once daily. It did the trick and she recovered within a day or two.
