I've been reading about brewers yeast and other supplements, at what age do you start this and what do I use? Is it ok for chicks too? They are currently on chick starter feed. They are all close to a week old. We have a Rouen/mallard a runner and two Plymoth rock chicks.

I like to use Brewers yeast and just sprinkle it on the feed, seems it is easier to find than plain niacin tablets now a days. I don't think it will hurt the chicks I use brewers yeast on my flock and I have ducks/chickens geese. The duckling should start now and stay on till 10 weeks old.

Where do you get brewers yeast? Grocery store? How much do I use?

I couldnt find nutritional yeast and the brewers yeast they had didnt list niacin or b3 in it so I didnt get it. I got regular 250mg tablets of niacin. Not the no flush. Is this right? How much do I give? 1/4 tablet sprinkled in food?
700

Is this the right stuff? How much do I give?
Crush the tablet and divide it into 2 parts then put 1 part into 1 gallon of fresh water , save the other half for the next gal of water or mix crushed 250 into a 2 gallon container be sure to shake to mix and then put into their waterer good for you getting the reg niacin, now we know GNC carries it.

I wanted to put it in the food. The water container I have is small. Like quart size I think.

I can't say if they will eat it have you tasted it? can your ducklings dunk their head in their waterer? make up a gallon an then pour into the container they use as a waterer. then add fresh daily.
