Vitamins

Does anyone add any vitamins or any of the poultry suppliments to there chickens feed or water?? Is it something they need or is it just for our peace of mind?

I feed a quality food and my chickens free range. I see no need to supplement healthy birds with vitamins. Just MHO.

Most chicken feeds will provide all the nutritional needs you'll ever need for your chickens.

Vitamins, for me, are an unnecessary thing to give your chickens. If you want to give them something, spoil them with a treat or something like that.

I do add vitamens to their H2O...which I started as chicks & just plan to finish it out since I paid for the packet...what the heck, vitamins are good for everybody! But when it's gone, it's gone & fresh plain H2O will do.
