New-to-the-forum chicken tender in Chicago: The nearby elementary school maintains chickens to teach children about animal husbandry, biology, and responsibility. My wife and I are among the volunteers who take care of the birds before and after school, weekends, and holidays. The internet is a great source of information, but sometimes it's contradictory. So, we'll rely on BackYard Chickens to get answers to questions such as "What are the possible causes of loose or watery poop?" In our case the answer could be any of 3-4 causes, all of which apply to our chickens. Thanks in advance to all who contribute to the forum!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Lots of things can cause watery poop from diet, stress, molting, weather changes, illness of some sort, parasites, etc.... Probiotics is always my first line of defense too as @Debbie292d mentioned above. She also left you with the link to our Emergency forums, I would definitely start a thread there for more help.
