Volunteering at the Animal Shelter?

Hi

Well my son(now 14 and reponisble) has decided to volunteer at the AS(Animal SHelter). WHat are some pros and cons? He has the badge and uniform ETC, Well yeah, Pros and cons...

My niece did this....their dog and cat population exploded! They went from 2 dogs and 1 cat to 7 dogs and 4 cats!!! And they keep coming! Soft hearts and the animal shelter and/or livestock market do not mix!

That's like letting BYC forum members work in a hatchery!

OHHHHH NO NO NO!!! No more dogs, I already have a Preg dog. ANd cats, are a big no no

I used to volunteer at our local shelter before DD was born. It was kind of depressing, but pretty cool when one of the animals found a home.

The first day I was there though, they had to put down about 20 cats.

People need to get their cats spayed, for goodness sake!!
