i am making a cabinet incubator with the same dimensions as the sportsmans incubators so what would you all use
would it be the wafer thermostat or the pre set electronic thermostat i heard people get better hatches with the wafer thermostat
and that the temp can be incrimented better what are your all opinions

Mine has both actually. Mainly ran by the electronic thermostat, however its not pre-set. I have to dial it in to a specific temp im wanting but extremely accurate. Again I have the wafer thermostat as well just in case something would happen to the electronic one in the middle of a incubation.

I just built my own incubator and I used the adjustable 10 turn electronic thermostat from GQF. It works fine and I am able to adjust the temperature wherever I want it. I much prefer this one over the pre-set temperature one. Georgia Quail Farm sells both.

Well, let me start this by saying I don't know anything. I'm on my first hatch and I'm not even 1 week in.
I have a hovabator with wafer thermostat and never in a million years would I get another one or any incubator that is regulated by a wafer thermostat. I find it very hard to regulate and it has wide temp fluxuations even when the ambient temp of the room the incubator is housed in does not change very much.
