Wahoo for Miracle Christmas Lights!

Finally, finally, finally..... after only 5 eggs (TOTAL!!!) from 17 hens since November, I gave in, plugged in some old, christmas lights at the coop, and surprise-surprise- 4 eggs a day for the last 3 days! Not even close to their old production, but I am doing the happy dance. This morning I heard the egg song from 2 of them. It sounded so beautiful!

Keep them burning and production will increase.

We are starting to see production pickup now, without the added lighting, but it will take a while to get there.
