Hello I'm Chris from west Tennessee. I've been lurking in the shadows of this site for a few days now and thought I'd say hi

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I raised some for 4-H about 25 years ago. Got 1st place at the fair. I had a bit of an advantage though. Mine were free range and everybody else's were utility room raised lol

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

No chicks at the moment but have 5 a piece of the Silver Duckwing Phoenix, Golden Duckwing Phoenix,
Black Breasted Red Phoenix on the way along with 3 Silver Laced English Orpington's and 9 Luikse Vechter AKA Liege fighter eggs.


(3) What breeds do you have? N/A

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Occasional eggs, meat, something to look at and keep the bugs down around the house

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Old chevy's, motorcycles, kayaks, tinkering with building useless ideas lol

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Just left trucking at the end of December so just relaxing at home until "The Virus" stuff settles down.

I have a broody hen sitting on a clutch!! Of course, I don't ship.
You might have better luck looking at your local FB poultry groups for people selling chicks. They are all setting like crazy.

I already had some ordered so I don't need anymore at the moment. I just thought it was crazy that everyone seems to be in a chicken buying frenzy like toilet paper now. Mom told me they had a new shipment of chicks when she was there. I went the next day for fencing and they were sold out lol
