Waiting on Marans!!

2 BCM and 3 Splash Marans... 24 wks and waiting, waiting, waiting! All look to the point of lay. What is the avg laying age for them? Meanwhile, my CLB are laying beautiful blue eggs

I think 28-32 weeks is supposed to be normal, but the lady I ordered my FBCM hatching eggs said hers usually start between 32-36 weeks. Love your egg colors!

I am so ready to see how dark the eggs will be. I have eggs incubating that are a BCM x CLB hen too try and get the true olive greeen egg...

The waiting is awful!
That's so exciting! I bought some Sage Egger hatching eggs from her too, they're a CLB X Welsummer. I had to pre-order the FBCM for next Feburary...but they will be at least a 6 on Marans Club of America egg color chart. I'm planning to breed the FBCM to a Black Ameraucana rooster. Hoping for some nice Olive Eggers too.

2 of my Marans layed a week ago then nothing. 5 mo old now. They are driving me crazy waiting.
