Marvelous Miss Mavis is doing a grand job of raising the 3 flock babies that she hatched. However, she can't seem to get them to walk down the the ramp from the coop onto the ground. I've made a ramp with the lowest angle I possibly can. The youngest of the 3 is about a week old, the oldest is 9-10 days. Should I just wait it out and let momma do her job? Mavis and the chicks are segregated from the rest of the flock so I don't have any interference from the others.
Chickens generally have trouble figuring out how to use ramps. Decreasing the angle and widening the ramp help. They will eventually figure it out.
