Walked into coop and foul smelling poop

Walk into our coop today to a sour smell the poop; was large dove egg sized. any ideas?

anyway, caecal poop can really smell bad.

does your chicken's poop look like any of these?

Smelly poo = broody hen. (Just from my experience).

I am a newbie chicken owner and that is the BEST pictures of poop I have ever seen!! I had questions about a soft brownish poop and was giving the girls acidophilus thinking someone was "out of sorts." Now I see it's normal.

Someone passed that one to me when i was asking questions about poop a few months ago, and i have been able to pass it on numerous times since.

There are several other good poop links floating around here, but i haven't managed to get them under my virtual belt yet.

So, do you think your girl is broody?

Helpful, yes, but I've seen some poop that wasn't pictured. That concerns me a bit.
Honestly, the photos are a bit too up close. My stomach turned a flip.

I have 2 RIR that are 8 weeks and 2 Comets that are 12 weeks old so I don't think they are broody!!

I do have a question. Is it normal to find feathers in the coop? I built an A-Frame tractor. There are 4 girls. The tractor has 4'x8' of grass area on the bottom and the same space above. I move the tractor daily so they have fresh grass.

They don't seem to peck at each other or fight but everyday I find feathers.

Thanks she was broody! Have the inlaws visiting sorry not to post earlier. She layed 2 eggs in as many days but she's not layed since- How often do polish crested bantams , lay? she isn't in any discomfort, eats drinks, the roosters had at her. But it has been a week since she layed.
